‚Graz’ Saxophone Quartet’ was founded in 1986 by graduate, Oto Vrhovnik of the Konservatorium des Landes Steiermark in Austria. Their repertoire spans from purely classical in style, to varying forms of modern music, to simple Jazz arrangements. In 1989, the largest newspaper in Graz, Kleinen Zeitung, gave them the following critique:

„Graz’ Saxophone Quartet has gone from being a simple quartet made up of students, to real professionals on their way to stardom in such a short period of time.”
